Nervous Structure, Annica Cuppetelli and Cristobal Mendoza
Made in collaboration by Annica Cuppetelli and Cristobal Mendoza,Nervous Structure (Field) is an installation piece designed to confuse and then illuminate the line between the physical and digital. 144 vertical lines are strung and then 144 lines of light are projected on to them. The lines of light respond to the movement of visitors and the result is a hypnotic field of waves and moire patterns.
I was invited to exhibit at The Russian Club which hosted The W Project. The show celebrated International Womens Day showcasing a range of female artists working in creative industries. The Big Bang depicts Mother Earth as a seed shattering explosion.

Opaline spheres of light are encased in a layered mirror and glass structure, causing reflections to bounce back and forth. A volume of colour and movement is created through a flat surface, giving the artwork seemingly infinite depth.
